About Us
Dr. Nneka Davis
Dr. Nneka Davis was born in the Bahamas and grew up on the island of Grand Bahama. She came to the United States to attend Barry University in Miami, Florida. In 1996, Dr. Davis completed her Bachelors of Science (BS) in Biology after which she moved to Boston to attended Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. In May of 2000, Dr. Davis completed her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD). From there, Dr. Davis moved to Baltimore to begin her residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Maryland. In 2002, Dr. Davis completed her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Davis founded the Kid's Dentist in April of 2003. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She believes in promoting oral health in her community through educating patients, parents and caregivers. Dr. Davis has a passion for caring for children who have limited to no access to dental care. In October of 2014, Dr. Davis had the opportunity to participate in her first dental mission trip with Kids Alive International in the Dominican Republic. She worked with an international dental team in the city of Jarabacoa where they served kids living in poverty. Her experience proved to be very rewarding and as a result Dr. Davis plans to continue participating in mission dentistry on a yearly basis.
Dr. Davis is the mother of a daughter, Jaden Bryant (16y) and son, Alex Bryant (15y). She enjoys spending time with her children, reading, hiking and travelling.
Dr. Sherry Honar
Dr. Sherry Honar is a graduate of University of Maryland Dental School, one of the best in the US, and has completed a one-year Advanced General Dentistry Residency. She has years of private practice experience and is a member of national and local dental societies such as ADA, AGD, and Howard County Dental Society. She lives in Ellicott City with her husband and their three kids and enjoys being an active member of her community.
